SoundCheck RTA — RTA · SPL · Feedback Finder
Last updated: July 3, 2026

Short version: SoundCheck RTA collects nothing. It has no account, no analytics, and no servers. Audio from your microphone is analyzed live on your device and is never recorded, saved, or transmitted.

Who this covers

This policy applies to the SoundCheck RTA app ("the app") for iPhone and iPad. It is published by the app's developer ("we", "us").

Data we collect

None. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. The app contains no analytics, advertising, tracking, or crash-reporting SDKs, and it does not create user accounts.

Microphone

The app requests microphone access so it can analyze sound in real time — showing the frequency spectrum (RTA), sound pressure level (SPL), and flagging frequency bands that are feeding back. This audio is processed on your device, in memory, as it happens. It is not recorded, not written to storage, and not sent anywhere. You can revoke microphone access at any time in the iOS Settings app.

Audio files you import

If you choose to analyze an audio file, the app reads that file locally to run the same on-device analysis. The file is not uploaded or copied elsewhere by the app.

Data stored on your device

App preferences (such as display mode and calibration offset) and any reference traces you choose to save are stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage. This information stays on your device and is included in your own device/iCloud backups if you have those enabled. We have no access to it.

Third parties

The app uses no third-party services, SDKs, or networking. Because we collect no data, we share no data.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "last updated" date.
